Sean Madole Owner
Sean began working in the construction industry as a teenager for his father Ray. After graduating high school he attended the United States Air Force Academy and graduated with a BS in Management.
Upon graduation he served on Active Duty in the Air Force as an Acquisition Manager.
In 2003, Sean returned to Reno and worked as a project manager for Valley Hoe Excavators until it closed in 2010. And in 2013, he acquired Madole Construction from his uncle Ken Newberry.
Sean is excited to continue the company's growth and see what the future holds!
Madole Construction was founded in the mid-1970s by John Madole Sr. as a general building and remodeling company rooted in craftsmanship and integrity. Early leaders, including Ray Madole and Ken Newberry, helped shape the company through a wide range of residential and commercial projects, including landmark work like the original remodel of PJ & Co. Restaurant in Reno, a local favorite that still serves the community today.
In the early 1980s, ownership transitioned to Ken Newberry, who expanded the company’s reach into commercial tenant improvements and home building. During this time, Madole Construction earned a reputation for reliability, innovation, and creative problem-solving. These are the values that continue to define the company.
In 2013, Sean Madole took ownership, bringing a renewed focus and a clear vision for the future. Under his leadership, the company evolved into a specialized contractor focused on foundation repair, structural rehabilitation, and complex underpinning projects, serving both residential and commercial clients across Northern Nevada and the Sierra region.
Today, Madole Construction handles technically demanding projects where precision and experience matter most. Recent work includes structural retrofitting of historic buildings, infrastructure improvements on the University of Nevada campus, and specialty projects like the bridge and boardwalk installation in Euer Valley, demonstrating our continued expansion into structural and outdoor infrastructure solutions.
While the scope of work has evolved, one thing hasn’t: a commitment to doing the job right. From stabilizing foundations to building lasting structures, Madole Construction continues to earn trust- project after project.
Proudly locally owned and operated, Madole Construction is a family-run, veteran-owned business built on hard work, accountability, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve across Northern Nevada and the Sierra region.
Here at Madole Construction, we believe in participating in the community that has given so much to us over the years. We have provided repairs to the utility systems and exterior of the South Valley Volunteer Fire Department building in Washoe Valley. Outside of work, our employees have children involved in youth sports, Little League, and high school football. Sean's wife Michelle organizes the team dinners for the high school football team and we participate in fundraising as members of the booster club. We enjoy the time we spend with our friends and neighbors in all ways possible!
