Photo Album: Water Intrusion in Homewood Crawlspace
Simon C. had water come through the rear door into his laundry/ mud room during the last wet winter. As far as he knew, water had pooled outside the door ONCE and seeped through to the crawlspace. Although the laundry room seemed dry, upon further investigation, standing water was found in the crawlspace causing a huge mold problem! After having the water pumped out and the mold remediation, Simon called Madole Construction to prevent any water from sitting in the crawlspace and causing damage in the future.
The foreman on this job, Tom K., led his crew through the install. The major components of Simon's drainage system included the installation of a 1/2 inch drain matt under a 6 mil. vapor barrier with all seams taped. We also installed a UltraSump pump to keep the crawlspace free from standing water. The discharge line from the UltraSump pump was buried under the frost line and hard lined to a french drain on the exterior of the home.
There is no doubt that Simon C. can now enjoy a dry, healthy crawlspace. Madole Construction is pleased to have helped solve Simon's water intrusion issue once and for all!
