Musty Crawlspaces

Most of us have a hard time scheduling an open saturday morning when we can crawl and inspect our crawlspace.  It is common for most people to never have the time for this.  The crawlspace under your home though can tell a lot about the overall health of the home.  Moisture in the crawlspace is common and can cause a lot of problems for a home.  Moisture can come from many sources, irrigation, plumbing leaks, and ground water.  Moisture in dark warm areas can lead to a lot of headaches including Wood Destroying Fungus, Mold, and unpleasant smells.   We recently completed a Cleanspace cralwspace encapsulation for a home in South Lake Tahoe.  The house had an unpleasant musty smell in the family room and one of the downstairs bedrooms.  Sealing the crawlspace with the Cleanspace system eliminated this musty smell almost instantly and made these downstairs areas more pleasant to occupy.
